Math

In math, students just finished working with and exploring money using adding and subtracting strategies. We will be starting to work on mental addition strategies.


Reading


Books should be coming home about every night!  Keep up the reading!!!



Writing


This week we have been talking about and practicing writing sentences of varying length.

  • It has been cold outside, be sure to send appropriate clothing with your child for recess time!

In math, students are finishing some addition strategies for single and double digit numbers.


Reading


Reading groups will meet about everyday while students are involved in the Daily 5.  Your child will be bringing home their book bag about every night. 
 
 

 

Writing


We just did some work with parts of speech. We talked about nouns, verbs and adverbs that end in ly.
