Reading

Please be sure your child is enjoying books.  Also, try to have your child read over our holiday break!

Read-a-thon

On Tuesday, December 23rd  our classroom will be having a read-a-thon in the afternoon.  The read-a-thon will last for one hour.  Your child may bring in books from home; choose some from our classroom or from the library to read during this time.  Everyone within our classroom will be reading the entire time including myself.  We will take a break in the middle and the students will have a chance to share al little information about the book that they are reading.
Especially with the holiday’s right around the corner, the excitement level is rising within our classroom.  Your child has worked extremely hard already this year in his/her reading group.  Our read-a-thon will be a nice relaxing way to enjoy some of his/her favorite books before going on Christmas vacation.  If your child chooses, he/she may bring in a healthy snack to munch on during our read-a-thon time.
